Amazon Data Engineer Job Description and Requirements :
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, build, and maintain data warehouse and lake infrastructure with Python, Redshift, Quicksight, Glue/lake creation, EMR/Spark/Scala, Athena, and other AWS big data stack tools.
- Create complex studies by extracting huge quantities of structured and unstructured data from a variety of sources, including message streams and relational, non-relational, and No-SQL databases.
- Build and manage ETLs to gather data from diverse systems and provide a single data model for reporting and analytics.
- Take part in every step of the ETL development cycle, including design, implementation, validation, documentation, and upkeep.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of expertise in data engineering
- Expertise in a similar field (such as software engineering, business intelligence engineering, or data science) with a proven track record of handling, analyzing, and deriving value from sizable datasets
- Proficient in SQL
- Knowledge of at least one of the following:-A working knowledge of AWS technologies: Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
Added Qualifications:
- Familiarity with non-relational databases and data stores, such as object storage, graph databases, column-family databases, document or key-value stores
- Proficiency in professional software engineering and best practices for the entire software development life cycle, encompassing testing, continuous deployment, source control management and operational excellence
- Understanding of distributed systems with reference to computing and data storage
